Information on Citulline Malate 2:1
Citrulline Malate is a combination of two parts of the non-essential amino acid citrulline and one part malate salt or malic acid, a tricarboxyclic acid cycle (TCA) intermediate.
Citrulline is primarily found in the rinds (skin) of watermelons and is also common in foods such as eggs, meats and fish.
Citrulline Malate helps in the removal of toxins such as lactic acid and ammonia, which can vastly decrease performance during exercise. Citrulline Malate supplementation can reduce the effects these toxins have on the body during exercise.
Citrulline Malate supports arginine content in the body and can be produced from arginine through the process of oxidation. Arginine is the precursor to nitric oxide, which reduces blood vessel stiffness, increases blood flow and improves blood vessel function.
Works well in combination with other supplements such as BCAA, Arginine and AAKG and Beta Alanine.
