Carbohydrates
Carbohydrates are a group of organic compounds that includes sugars, starches, celluloses, and gums and serves as a major energy source in the diet of animals and humans. These products are used to provide extra energy when undergoing strenuous activity where a normal meal would be difficult to consume. These carbohydrates are designed for a purpose, some are fast acting if you need the energy there and then, and others are more slow acting giving your body energy for longer periods to aid recovery.
